We all want beautiful, young looking skin. But with so many treatments and miracle cures, what's the right products to use for your skin type. We aren't sure, but we still refuse to succumb to those fine lines and wrinkles that age presents to us. When it comes to our skin there are several ways to slow down those speeding hands of time and erase some of the damage that's already been done. However, there is no one product that's going to work for all women. Mainly because every woman's skin is different. We still scrutinize every line and wrinkle and we're determined to take whatever steps necessary to keep our skin young as long as we possibly can. Stopping the hands of time, or at least backing them up a little bit, can sometime involve a higher cost for skincare and a deeper commitment to our daily routine. This is not something you can do on your own. You might consider consulting with a dermatologist to receive advice on the best course of skincare for your skin type.

Your dermatologist may recommend you supplement your regular skin care routine with one of the various procedures they provide. A Trichloroacetic Acid peel can be performed by your dermatologists every six weeks. This peel penetrates deeper into the skin to improve its smoothness and eliminate superficial age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. TCA peels can leave skin raw and scaly and will often require at least 5 to 7 days to recover. These peels are a little expensive at $150 to $300 dollars per peel. Botox injections can be performed every three to six months and cost anywhere from $300 to $1500 for each injection. These injections paralyze facial muscles and smooth the skin on top of them. The final step to completely smooth skin would be Injectable Dermal Fillers. These you can get 2 to 3 times per year and cost around $1,000 dollars each time. These work to plump up the lips and cheeks. Collagen Injections cost about $500 per syringe and are used as an alternative for more detailed work. If you and your dermatologist choose for you to receive some of these treatments don't expect a miracle. You should expect, temporarily; to have smooth and younger looking skin. You also need to realize that you won't get a permanent transformation, and none of these procedures are completely without risk. Make sure and consult with your dermatologist on the risks and maintenance required with all procedures. Before considering any age related treatment options make sure you ask questions and get to know about the procedure before hand. You always want to make sure that the dermatologist or plastic surgeon that will be performing your surgery is board-certified and specially trained in skin and facial treatments. Ask them how much experience they've had with the procedure you are considering. A sanitary environment is always your safest place to have the injections done. Spas and health clubs are fine if there is a qualified physician available. Make sure your physician knows about any health conditions you have or any medications or supplements you are taking. All these can effect the outcome of your treatment. Do your research and ask to see the labels on anything to be injected or applied to your skin.
