Staying Fit for Life

Faith Dosier
Exercise is hard even for the most dedicated of us at times isn't it? I've been known to fall of the exercise wagon for a month to three at a time at least once a year. Once the spell is over I'm back harder than ever to mold my muscles into a Greek Goddess like statue. So that being said I've got same great fitness building tips. My favorite way to stay fit is to hit the treadmill and run uphill at a 45 degree incline or higher. Start out walking briskly for five minutes at anywhere from 3.0 to 4.0 miles per hour and once you've got a light sweaty sheen going on than amp it up to a cool 6.0 for another five minutes. Next spend your next five minutes increasing your speed again to at least 7.2 or higher. After doing that routine three to four times a weeks for a month, you'll really see a nice difference in your muscles showing through as you drop your body fat.

Another great way to stay fit is to hit the weights. Whether you're a guy or girl hitting the weights is imperative if you're looking to lose weight of just stay lean. The treadmill will not do it alone no matter what anyone tells you. When you lift weight remember to change your routine often, at least every two weeks so your muscles don't adapt to your routine and you stop seeing change in your body and improvements. Hits the weights hard and make it your goal to increase the amount of weights you use over time and increase the reps that you can do. Hit different body parts every other day and don't work the same muscle groups two days in a row so you can give you muscles time to recover and heal.
