Staying Healthy in the San Fernando Valley with Maclay Nutrition

There is a new health food store in the San Fernando Valley. It's called Maclay Nutrition and I decided to check it out. The building is renovated and is a great addition to San Fernando and the Maclay street project. When you first walk up to the store you notice their big sign and green awnings in front. It is located next to a flower shop and Lily's Outlet Store.

All three units have beautiful rod iron doors and a small patio set up in the front. I saw two women sitting there drinking some green tea and talking. When I walked into the store I noticed the yummy smell of Nag Champa incense and heard the delightful jazz coming from the radio. The manager and owner, Rosa, greeted me as soon as I walked in. She asked if she could help me with anything and I told her about my health concerns.

She was very helpful and gave me a ton of literature to read. She recommended a few products that were reasonably priced. There is also a stand inside the store that offers a variety of free information as well. The store felt very cozy and inviting. I could tell that there were some good vibes in that store. I'll definitely visit again sometime soon.

Maclay Nutrition carries vitamins, herbs, wheat-free and gluten-free foods, natural cleaning products, natural cosmetics, essential oils, blossoming teas, jewelry, natural and organic foods, books in English and Spanish, and even massage sandals. Maclay Nutrition carries a wide variety of brands and if you can't find what you're looking for, just ask. Rosa is really helpful and offered to make a special order to get me the toothpaste that I wanted. I can't believe I found this little gem in San Fernando and it sure beats driving all the way to Porter Ranch to go to Whole Foods especially when the gas prices are so high!

They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are presently closed on Sundays. Call (818) 361-0031 for more information. They are pretty close to the Maclay exit off the 210 freeway. Be sure to park in the back since there are only two spots to park in the front. They also have an entrance in the back too so you don't have to walk around to the front of the store.
