101 K Street Sacramento, Ca. That's where you'll find the Steamers Coffee House. It is located in the center of Old Sacramento, perfectly situated along K Street between the tunnel, leading to Westfield Mall, and the Delta King on the Sacramento River.
Ambiance
Upon stepping into Steamers you are immediately surrounded by a welcoming environment. The furniture is heavy and wooden, granting the entire establishment a homey feel. The chairs and tables aren't too hard, as wood furniture occasionally is.
Steamers is clean, and well kept. Looking around there isn't trash, or dirt or grime. Nothing is allowed to build up, and employees are diligent. Steamers feels friendly and small without being cramped or too small.
Staff
The staff at Steamers are friendly and efficient. They project welcoming and kind attitudes without impeding their ability to work or get their jobs done. They are over all just pleasant people to be around. I've never been
disappointed, treated rudely or forgotten.
Whenever service has taken more than a few minutes I've received an apology and a quick promise that my food or drink will be quickly delivered to me. Occasionally there are times when it seems as if there are just not enough people working and that this slows things down. This is usually during rushes or times when there are simply a lot of people asking for a lot of things and has never been more than a minor inconvenience.
Food
The food is just what you'd expect. It's solid, filling and satisfying. It's neither the best of the best nor bad. They have a good variety of hearty meals that are prepared quickly with little mess or dress to them. The food is satisfying but not fancy. And that's just fine by me for a place like Steamers.
Over-All Suggestion
Steamers isn't just conveniently located, it's an all around great place to stop by for a bite to eat or just something to drink during the day. In addition to their excellent coffees they serve breakfast, lunch , beer, wine and pastries for your dining convenience. And it's always a relaxing place to sit for a few moments and enjoy your coffee.
Sometimes Starbucks is just a little too "corporate" feeling or rushed for your taste. If you'd prefer to sit and have a nice relaxing place to work or drink or talk with friends Steamers is perfect. Now sometimes this comfortable environment comes at a slight loss to speed of delivery, but I've never found it to be much of a problem here at steamers. In addition to this, they have more than just coffee. They serve real food and that's always a plus!
