Steelers vs. Broncos Score Turns into Steelers Thumping

Robert Dougherty
The Steelers vs Broncos score was a tale of two halves. First, the Steelers vs Broncos score had no offense to speak of from either side. But the Steelers vs Broncos score then had a lot of it from the visiting team. While the Broncos never could wake up, the Steelers kept scoring and turned this battle of AFC titans into a mismatch. The score soon became a 28-10 Steelers' destruction, as Denver now has a lot of questions and Pittsburgh is officially back to their Super Bowl form.

The Steelers vs Broncos score had more scoring from the defense than the offense for a while. The only first half touchdown was from an interception return by Pittsburgh's Tyrone Clark. Aside from that, the Steelers did absolutely nothing with their offense in the first half, and neither did the Broncos. But Denver did get a third-quarter fumble return for a score by Robert Ayers to go up 10-7.

Finally, the Steelers vs Broncos score had offensive touchdowns, and all of them came from Pittsburgh. In a sudden explosion, the Steelers gained over 300 yards and got three touchdowns during the second half - a half the Broncos have dominated in their six wins. But in the last two weeks, the Denver second half defense has been torched by AFC Central teams.

Ben Roethlisberger returned to his old efficient self and threw three touchdowns, while Troy Polamalu and company picked off three Kyle Orton passes - though Orton threw just one interception in seven games. The Steelers vs Broncos score turned into a referendum for both teams, and only a good one for one of them.

The Broncos had been questioned more than any other team during their hot start, but seemed to silence the doubters up to two weeks ago. Now they're back in full force, as the Broncos are now 6-2 and have let the Chargers back into the AFC West race.

The Steelers vs Broncos score put Pittsburgh back on top of the NFL's most feared teams, as their defense has destroyed Minnesota and Denver in two straight games. But the Steelers don't even have control of their own division yet - though they can get it back by avenging their last defeat to the Bengals next week.

It seems that the usual suspects are rising again in the AFC, as the Colts, Steelers, Patriots and Chargers are set for second-half pushes, while the Broncos try to stay in it for the long haul. But fortunately, the Broncos get to take their frustrations out on Washington next week.
