Steering Away from Politics as Usual - the Stampede Has Started

Political "Bull" and Country Music Strike a Common Chord of Political Discord

The stampede to stand up against political bull has started.

From "Boulder To Birmingham" voters in America are putting away their "Rose Colored Glasses." They're tired of wondering what happens "Behind Closed Doors" in Washington, and they're feeling "Hurt" by politicians' broken promises.

This "Crazy" way of doing things in D.C. is prompting people to wonder, "Am I The Only One Who's Ever Felt This Way?" It seems as though too many of our elected officials might have "Friends In Low Places," and they're busy "Making Believe" that the general public isn't paying attention.

When we cast our votes, we are saying "I Believe In You," although "You Never Even Called Me By My Name." "Remember When" politicians actually knew their constituents personally, understood what they wanted, and took it to heart when they were asked, "Please Remember Me?"

"On The Other Hand," with the election of Scott Brown, "Whoever's In New England" showed a strong desire to break away from conventional political bull. The voters are getting ready for a "Stampede" on Election Day. That's when they may tell Congress that if they don't write a more honest spending song, they can "Take This Job and Shove It" because we're not going to tolerate "Your Cheatin' Heart."

We, the people, are finally starting to "Breathe" again, and hope that our "Unanswered Prayers" will be addressed with the changing political tide. As voters, "When You Say Nothing At All," you continue to enable politics as usual. And this apathetic phenomenon gives us all an "Achy Breaky Heart" whenever we contemplate the "Ring of Fire" which has become our country's burning national debt.

"I'm Tryin'" to "Act Naturally," but the runaway herd known as our government is "Always On My Mind." The best way to bring about real change, and elect politicians who will "Stand By Me" will occur "When I Get Where I'm Going," and that's straight to the voting booth.
