The Step2 Extreme is great for kids aged three years old and up. When you buy it, you will have to assemble it yourself. Maybe it is best to get your husband to help you out with this. It will definitely not take your more than an hour to do this as assembling this is relatively easy. The Step2 Extreme Coaster naturally comes with a track and a car. The car then slides smoothly on the track, simulating a real roller coaster hill that your child can easily operate. Your child will not even need you to enjoy this coaster. But as a precaution, I think it is best that you or a guardian is nearby just to watch out for the child as the excitement sometimes makes small children a bit too hyper. I placed our Step2 Extreme Coaster in our backyard and the great thing is that it is weather-proof so you do not have to worry about the rain and the coaster getting rusty. The material is also quite strong so you do not have to worry about it tipping or falling apart.
What I like about the Step2 Extreme Coaster is that it gives Stephen more reasons to go out and play. I used to worry about him staying in his room the whole day, watching TV and just being inactive. Most children today live sedentary lifestyles as there are so many toys in the market that deprive them of active play, like computer games. Now, I see Stephen and his playmates out in the backyard and it gives me great joy to see them playing actively.
The only disadvantage that I can find with the coaster is that you cannot disassemble it once you have put it together. So, I will only recommend this to people who have enough space in their homes for storage, preferably those with a backyard or a big playroom. But overall, I think it is a great toy to have if you can afford it. It retails for about $270.00.
