Stephenie Meyer Writes New Twilight Vampire 'Bree' Book in 2010

Stephenie Meyer has written a new book that they are calling a "Novella." The definition of Novella is a work of fiction that is longer and more complex than a short story but shorter than a novel. The novella that author Stephenie Meyer has written has to do with vampires and is related to the Twilight Saga books, but separate in it's own way.

The new book is 192 pages long and written by Stephenie Meyer will be called "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella" and is about the newborn vampire Bree from the third book Eclipse of the Twilight Saga books. Bree is a brand new vampire that is given a second chance by Dr. Carslile Cullen. Bree will be in the Eclipse movie and is played by actress Jodelle Ferland. The book is about Bree's new, but short vampire life.

The novella written about Bree was to be part of "The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide" which will be released on December 30, 2010. The guide was also written by Stephenie Meyer and the story of Bree was to be included but became bigger than she originally planned so it has been given it's own release. The new book "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" is to be released on June 5, 2010. That gives Twilight fans enough time to get the new book and create some excitement before the new movie Eclipse is released on June 30, 2010.

The new Stephenie Meyer book is published by Little, Brown Books. The Little, Brown Books Company was the same publisher that put out the four books that make up the Twilight Saga. The last book in the teen vampire Twilight series was "Breaking Dawn" which was released over two years ago. Twilight fans have been eagerly waiting for a new book by Stephenie Meyer. It was thought that the next book in the Twilight Saga would be called "Midnight Sun," which is a book seen through Bella's love interest the vampire Edward Cullen.

It has also been announced that when the first printing of 1.5 million books of "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" is released that some of the proceeds will go to the earthquake victims of Haiti. One dollar for each book sold in the United States will go to the Red Cross and the International Response Fund for those in need in places such as Haiti and Chile.
