If you've lost your job keep looking for another job and don't give up. You need to network with everyone you know and ask them if they know of any opportunities available. Yes, you may lose some pride but pride doesn't pay the bills or take care of your responsibilities.
Job loss is hard, but not the end of your life or the world. If you have ever dreamed of starting your own business or have a passion you always wanted to do as a business this may be the perfect time. You have to take gambles in life and yes you'll deal with setbacks, but you just keep moving through those times. Don't settle for failure and keep your head high.
When you're out of work or starting a new business it's tough; however, you must put your fears and shyness aside and talk to employers or customers if you're starting a business. Most people don't like trying to sell something to someone else, but if you're starting a business you must hit the pavement and introduce yourself to potential customers. You'll get rejected and that's just a part of life and business. Always state your businesses value added services and show them why they need your product and service.
Always remain positive even though you're dealing with a lot of life's issues and remember someone else always has it rougher than you in this world. When talking to employers about a job always present yourself with a positive attitude and state what skill set and value you could bring to the organization. The same methodology applies to meeting customers always remain positive even when you get told no. Don't give up on a potential customer if you're told no most customers will tell you no three or four times before they become a customer.
Remember, losing a job and starting a business can happen multiple times throughout your life, but you only live once. So live your dreams of starting a business or finding a job that you love. Roadblocks will occur throughout your life, but you can persevere and accomplish your goals if you're dedicated and willing to work hard and put a little sweat into the process.
Just because you don't have money to start a business should not be an excuse because there's numerous success stories that started on shoestring budgets and the owners built them into multi-million dollar companies. If you need money ask family, friends and banks to support you with the intention you paying them back once the company gets started.
