SterlingFest 2011 Set to Begin July 28 - July 30th

The city's three-day festival will begin Thursday July 28 and end Saturday July 30 running from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. With four separate free musical stages, there are also food tents, arts & crafts booth, a midway of amusement rides and fun and games for kids. Each night there will be a free concert starting on Thursday with Mega 80's and a Balloon Launch at 7 p.m. Friday night there will be a U2 tribute band and Saturday night, an Aerosmith tribute band. Both concerts start at 7pm. Various other musical acts will perform throughout the day.

The city is also offering for the first time a Mega Pass that is sold ahead of time, this is for all three days at the midway. The price of the unlimited ride pass is $45 and available in the lower level of City Hall in the Community Relations Department. Only cash or personal checks are accepted.

Parking will be scarce along Dodge Park Road, a shuttle to and from the festival will leave from Heritage Junior High,T Davis Junior High and in front of the Senior Center. Cost to ride is $1. The Sterlingfest is suported by the Anton Art Center as well as the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
