Steubenville's favorite hardware store is located on Mall Drive, just off of Sunset Boulevard. Take John Scott Highway and follow the signs to Fort Steuben Mall. You'll see it on the corner.

This home improvement has everything: gardening supplies and plants (in season) yard tools, pest control, plumbing parts, electrical parts, appliances, carpeting, cabinets, lumber, tools ... The list goes on. Everything you can think of. Except....***

This is where the contractors hang out. If you want to avoid the handymen's trucks, park closer to the gardening section. You may have to walk farther, but you'll be able to find a parking place that's safer to pull out of.

There really isn't a time when this store isn't busy, so you just have to deal with the crowds.

Located on Sunset Boulevard, right in the heart of the business district.

*** This store specializes in stocking anything Lowe's doesn't have. So, if you can't find it at Lowe's, you'll find it here.

Larger pieces of Plexi-glass (8 foot by 4 foot). Alson's shower heads and replacement parts. Small appliances and kitchen knives. Grumbacher paints. Hmmm..... You'll just have to visit. It's quite diverse. And the sales people are well informed.

Located off of State Route 22 in Weirton, West Virginia, Three Springs Drive exit, in the Kroger/Kmart Plaza.

This is a medium sized hardware and lumber store. The prices are competitive, if not slightly higher than Lowe's, but the specials are spectacular, and worth the trip.

All specials are located in the center isle for easy location.

A large section is devoted to fasteners: screws, nails, nuts and bolts.

Home improvement and repair supplies are plentiful. The employees are friendly, personable, and informed. If you need directions for installing any item, just ask.

A Key Card is available. All customers making a purchase with a key card will receive an entry for a prize drawing.

Located on the corner of State Route 7 and Lawson Avenue. (The address can be misleading.)

This specialty store isn't really a hardware store, but it bears mentioning.

Really the only complete electrical parts store in the valley.

Lighting fixtures grace the showroom. Anything from Tiffany style lamps, to barroom lights, to formal fixtures. You name it, it's here. And if it isn't, they'll be happy to order it for you.

Also, they have a complete electrical warehouse with conduit, sockets, switches, and everything you'll need to install electricity properly into your house or business.
