Steve Madden Graanie Boot for Women

The Graanie Lace Up Women's Boot from Steve Madden and Other Comparable Boot Styles

Lace up boots appear to be all the rage this year coming into the fall and winter months of the year, and the Steve Madden Grannie boot seems to lead the pack of all different names and styles this year. This boot is rather the epitome of retro looks, having a lace up style that any lady would be proud to wear today, or would have loved back in the 1800s. Made of luxurious high quality leather, with thin lacing through an eyelet boot opening up the front of the shaft. Rising to just below mid-calf, this boot also gives women a bit of a lift with a thicker heel of more than 2 inches. This boot retails for around $130.

While the Steve Madden Grannie seems to stand apart as perhaps the most popular look of retro lace up styles, there are some other choices that one might also want to check out:

Sam Edelman Karla: The Karla boot from Sam Edelman is another great choice, with some differences when compared to the Graanie including a lower heel and one of the versions having an upper constructed from soft suede. For a lady who still wants an elegant look but perhaps less of a heel, this boot is a good choice with its fun lace up style. It comes in a few different rich and earthy colors and has a retail price of around $150.

Dolce Vita Madrona: One of the fun and funky looks in lace up boots this year comes from the Madrona boot from Dolce Vita. Like the Edelman Karla, this boot features a bit of a lower heel and compared to the Grannie the lacing is a bit thicker but still the same overall style. A bit of layering of the upper sets the look off, and this boot is a great choice for this fall and winter. Retail price for the Madrona is around $220.

Boutique 9 Saffi Boot: This boot is what I would like to call "funky" and is probably the closest variation of boots on the list when comopared tot the Grannie. The biggest difference lies with the thick stacked heel that has a squared off shape. Other differences such as a couple of zippers in addition to the lacing make this boot ultra stylish and undoubtedly a lot of fun to wear. It comes in a couple of different basic color versions and retails for around $240.

I am having a lot of fun this year observing the different retro looks coming forward in the fashion world, and the Steve Madden Grannie Boot is a must-see if someone is fond of this 1800s style. However, in reality any of the boots above on the list would be good choices, all being available from online merchants often for lower prices than retail and almost always with free shipping and returns.
