Steve Phillips Wife Photos Are Must-See

Marni Phillips' Photos Are Proving Difficult to Find and Driving Public Curiosity

Saul Relative
Marni Phillips, Steve Phillips' soon to be ex-wife, has seen her life become an open book on the internet as millions read about her husband's sex scandal with ESPN production assistant Brooke Hundley and search for photos, copies of the "sexplanation" letter, and listen to the 911 call after Steve Phillips' wife caught the younger Hundley in her driveway after she delivered said letter. Steve Phillips' wife's nightmare at the hands of her husband's fixated girlfriend (ex?), Brooke Hundley, did not end with the distraught 911 call made afterward. Nor did it end with the police statements made by herself, her husband, and her 16-year-old son (whom Brooke Hundley had allegedly befriended via computer by posing as a teen classmate) in August. It did not end even after she filed for divorce from the ESPN sports analyst, who has admitted to multiple affairs over the years. Steve Phillips' wife's nightmare has become continuous over the last couple months and, judging by its tenacity for staying a hot topic at the top of Google ("Steve Phillips wife," "Steve Phillips wife photos," "Marni Phillips photos"), does not look as if it will be ending anytime soon.

Since the New York Post broke the story, the Steve Phillips scandal has been major headlines. And it isn't simply because of the salacious subject matter. Part of it has to do with the perception that his girlfriend (he "only" slept with her three times) may be a little mentally unbalanced. And part of it has to do with the fact that the public's curiosity hasn't been sated, especially when it comes to photos of Marni Phillips. Although photos of Brooke Hundley, the other woman, have been readily accessible, photos of Steve Phillips' wife have not. There have been a few photos and postings of photos pulled from a Facebook account, but there have also been disclaimers that the photos were not of Marni Phillips.

So...

People love a good sex scandal. They also love a mystery. Not knowing what Marni Phillips looks like constitutes a public mystery. Besides, how else will the public be able to do the obligatory superficial comparison study, where bloggers and viewers and users can make their ridiculous comments of "he slept with her when he had that at home?" and "what did he see in her?" (which can be used for either the wife or the girlfriend) and "can't blame him", "upgrade," "downgrade," etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Given the possibility that Brooke Hundley might be a little emotionally and/or psychologically unbalanced, this story might have had "legs" anyway, but not giving the public photos only tends to increase the need to hunt them down. So don't look for "Steve Phillips wife photos" or "Steve Phillips girlfriend photos" to fall from Google Trends until the public's curiosity has been appeased.

Still, it is amazing that Steve Phillips' wife, Marni, managed to keep herself away from cameras, given her husband's high profile jobs as the New York Mets General Manager and as a sports analyst for ESPN. Strangely enough, that same need for privacy is part of what is contributing to her present and continuing nightmare.

As soon as a few photos are found for Steve Phillips' wife, traffic searching for them will eventually trail off -- to a certain degree. However, given the sexually charged nature of the alleged stalking performed by the dumped girlfriend, Brooke Hundley, the story might remain headline news regardless of whether or not the public has photos to view.

Unfortunately, Steve Phillips' wife's nightmare will continue in varying degrees of publicity, especially since she is suing for divorce. But even more unfortunate for Marni Phillips, the public's hunger for scandal is also continuous...

Yes, public scandals really grab people's attention. It has always been so (in my memory, anyway) but I think that perhaps today's economy is a factor. The "I don't have it so bad" factor?
