Steven Seagal's Attorney Calls Sex Trafficking Allegations "Ridiculous"

Joyce Carole
Allegations made by twenty-three year old former model, Kayden Nguyen in a lawsuit filed against actor Steven Seagal were called the ridiculous and absurd claims by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired for using illegal narcotics" by Seagal's attorney according to a CBS News report.

Allegations Against Steven Seagal Include:

Kayden Nguyen is the former personal assistant of actor Steven Seagal. The former model and ex-employee is suing Segal for $1 million. Allegations against Seagal include: sexual harassment; illegal trafficking of females for sex; failure to prevent sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and false representation about employment.

Why Did Kayden Nguyen Not Contact Police?

In a statement made to CBS News, lawyer William Waldo, who represents Kayden Nguyen stated that Nguyen did not contact the police because she believed that the police would only listen to Seagal. Actor Steven Seagal apparently is a "reserve deputy clerk" in the small town of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana where he now lives. According to some accounts this is only an honorary position.

About Steven Seagal

The now fifty-eight year old actor was born April 10, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan. He moved to Japan at the age of seventeen, where he studied Zen and martial arts. He went on to become the first westerner to open a martial arts studio in Japan. During the 1990's Seagal found success in action films. His popularity as a film star has waned in recent years.

Could there be a Basis to Nguyen's Allegations against Seagal?

It is difficult to say at this time whether the claims brought against Seagall by Kayden Nguyen have any validity. I would suppose that since Nguyen names two Russian women as also being victims of sexual harassment by Seagal that determining whether there are corroborating stories to back up her claims should not prove too difficult. I would expect that the drama surrounding these claims (if there is any truth to them) will continue for some time. It appears that Mr. Seagal may be on the wrong side of the law this time around.
