The top score of the night went to Giles Marini and Cheryl Burke who received a combined score of 27 and rave reviews from the judges for their Salsa. Bachelor castoff, Melissa Rycroft, and Tony Dovolani came in second receiving a total score of 26 for their Salsa. The Salsa seemed to be the top scoring dance of the night as Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballis, who received a combined score of 24, rounded out the top three positions on the leader board.
Receiving one of the lowest scores of the night once again, were Steve Wozniak and Karina Smirnoff receiving a total score of 17 for their Quickstep. The judges seem to find Steve very entertaining and likeable but continue to criticize his dance moves on the floor. Tied with Steve at the bottom are David Alen Greir and Kym Johnson who also received a 17 from the judges for their Salsa. The judges felt his timing was off and it was too much about Kym. Holly Madison and Dmitry Chaplin scored an 18 for their Quickstep performance and were told their Quickstep was too quick. Rounding out the bottom are Belinda Carlisle and Jonathan Roberts also receiving an 18 for their Salsa and Belinda was told she lack hip action and grace.
The live results show is Tuesday, March 17, at 9:00 PM. Last week's scores from the judges and the audience will be combined with this week's scores to determine the bottom two. In a new twist this year, the bottom two will compete in a dance off for the judges. The judge's scores for the past two performances will be erased and Wednesday night's judge's scores combined with two weeks of audience votes will determine who is the first couple to go home. There is no word yet on whether or not Steve-O will appear on tonight's show.
