Stevie B's Pizza Buffet: Is it Worth Your Time?

If you are looking for an all you can eat pizza place in Findlay, Ohio, then Stevie B's may or may not be the place for you. Why is this? Because there are a few things to take into consideration when deciding whether or not to dine at this restaurant. Let's start from the beginning.

When I first walked in, I was not sure whether I was to seat myself or wait for assistance but there was no one there to greet or seat me. Not too far from the entrance was an employee who was cleaning tables and did not look up to help. I had to approach him and ask him to bring someone to the front to for assistance. The cashier that assisted me did not really know what she was doing and also had an unprofessional name on her nametag. I was rather surprised to see the quality of service was not what I thought it would be, especially for a family style restaurant.

Despite the questionable service, the food was actually pretty good. They had a delicious variety of unique pizzas. There was the baked potato pizza that took first place on the taste scale. With full bites of baked potato, cheese and bacon, this pizza was a winner. If you crave a simple classic, the hot and steamy pepperoni was indeed satisfying. From the macaroni and cheese pizza to the beef taco pizza, there were plenty of tasty options for the whole family. The salad bar was messy, with most of the toppings on the floor or on the counter. It hadn't been refilled often, and in my opinion, they could have done without this part of the buffet. But overall, the pizza was great and very filling. When it came time for dessert, there were a few options available. The apple crisp tart slice was the tastiest of the group of desserts consisting of a lemon tart, orange cream tart and sweet roll. One thing I might add is that if you do not have a sweet tooth, then stay away from the sweet roll. In the middle of sweet bread is a kind of candied sugar center which gives the dessert its name.

When it comes to the appearance of the restaurant, during my visit, it was not kept clean and the tables were not bussed the entire time of my stay. There were dishes on many of the tables and the floors seemed as if they were not swept in days. There was only one employee in charge of cleaning the tables while the manager walked around frequently to make sure guests were enjoying their food. There was also a game room for children to enjoy winning tickets redeemable for small prizes.

So as you can see, there were good points and also bad points about my experience here. If you value good food, but don't mind a not-so-perfectly cleaned dining room and laid back employees, then this could be the place for you. But if you are a stickler for good service and a presentable atmosphere in addition to good food, then you might try your luck elsewhere.
