Stick-Figure Stupidity

Just a Way to Advertise Your Kids to Sex Offenders

Emily Meeka
I believe that the parents of today are having severe losses of intelligence. My question is this: why do parents put those ridiculous stick-figure "family" stickers on the windows of their oversized, gas-guzzling SUV's? Why do they feel the need to let the general public know that they have a spouse named "Jack" or "Jill," a daughter named "Suzy," a son named "Billy" and a dog named "Spot"?

Congratulations, parents, you have just entered the Land of the Consistently Dense! You have also just advertised to every pedophile and pervert your child's general age and NAME. With all of the news out there regarding the blantant pedophile epidemic and with all of the television programs specifically created to help catch sex offenders, one would like to believe that parents might think twice before slapping their family on their back windows.

Here's a news bulletin: normal people do not care that you have a daughter named Suzy or a son named Billy; but Mr. Smith, the neighborhood pervert, cares more than you want to know. This all boils down to plain, old-fashioned common sense. We live in an age where it is already incredibly easy to obtain personal information about someone through technology. Why are parents making it easier for pedophile's to target their children? All a pedophile has to do is look at that sticker, follow you to your kid's school and wait- what will little Suzy do if the nice man tells her that he's a friend of her mom's, Jill, who was in an accident with her little brother, Billy, and he'll be glad to take her to the hospital so she can see them? That's all it takes, folks.

So, quit being a bunch of morons and get rid of those ridiculous stickers! Be responsible parents and take EVERY precaution to protect your children!

What more is there to say about those stickers? Parents are stupid for putting them on their vehicles and allowing potential harm to come to their children. The article is pretty self-explanatory.

I wholeheartedly agree that those stick figure families are completely asinine...but this article was just not well written.

I haven't seen or heard of these stickers. Maybe they haven't caught on in my state, but I agree. I wouldn't want to advertise my family on my back window.
