Sticky Notes: Not Just for the Office Anymore

When you think of sticky notes or post-its, you tend to think of office settings. But daily life can be just as hectic, and you may write yourself a note and then forget about it - only to find the note later, and remember that you forgot something. For example, (and I have done this countless times) you get to the grocery store only to realize that you forgot your list. You do your shopping, get home, and find you forgot something you needed. And of course this is not an item that you can wait to get, you needed that item today. Or you may need to leave a note to remind you to pay a bill, or run an errand - the daily tasks are endless. And usually your notes aren't where you left them because they get blown off the table, moved by someone, or who knows. Sticky notes will allow you to leave a note somewhere, you know it will be where you left it, and it will stay there.

Sticky Notes on the Door
Put a sticky on the door to remind you of something you can not leave the house without. Write the note, and place the sticky at eye level on the door. Chances are you were going to leave without what the note is reminding you of. This will save you a return trip home or possible embarrassment because you forgot something you needed at work or school.

Stick Notes on the Computer Monitor
Place the sticky on a corner of the computer monitor to remind you of daily appointments. Most of the time (and this is especially true for students) you get caught up doing work on the computer, forget your appointment, and then run late. Seeing the sticky out of the corner of your eye will serve as a reminder to keep an eye on the time

Sticky Notes in the Bathroom
I frequently forget to take new prescriptions, what time I am supposed to take them, and what time I took them at. I keep a sticky note on the bathroom mirror with the time I need to take my medicine, and when I took it. That way if I am not sure what time I took my prescription or if I took it at all I can look at the note, and I will know when and if it was taken.

Sticky Notes on the Refrigerator
Since sticky notes come in all shapes and sizes now, I use larger sticky notes to make my grocery list. As soon as I run out of something I write it down. With it stuck to the refrigerator I will not loose it in my ever growing mess of papers on my table or counter-tops. And if I dump a soda or water, I will not loose whatever was written on the list.

You can use sticky notes anywhere -just use your imagination. They now come in assorted colors, shapes, and sizes and can be purchased without breaking the budget. If you want to add a bit of organization to your home and your day sticky notes may just do the trick!
