COLOR
Orchid is a deep red, close to a burgundy, but once applied, it does show up that dark. It blends into my skin tone (fair) very well and gives me a natural flush. When swatched, pink undertones come out and it turns into a nice berry color. Even though this product is for lip and cheek, I feel like it is kind of gross to use it as both, but I do use it on my lips sometimes as it looks beautiful on lips. Unlike some other makeup products, I think this one is very true to color.
FORMULA
Unlike other cream/gel/liquid cheek products, Stila Convertible Color does not feel gooey on my face. It is very pigmented, the colors are true, and it has great stay power. Stila has managed to create the perfect formula for a cream blush. I do not have much to compare it to, as I do not use cream blush and this is the only one I own, but I have tried the Tarte Cheek Stain (which I will be doing a review on) and I can safely say that this is a lot better. It provides a nice color without being oily, drying, or cakey, and a little goes a long way. This compact will last you a very, very long time.
FUNCTIONALITY
Since this product is multi-use, it is very functional. Even if you don't want to use this for cheeks and lips, it is still a wonderful product when used for one or the other. If you do use it for cheeks and lips, then I would advise having different brushes and/or sanitizing after every use. Since it is in the perfect size compact, it will be a great space saver in a makeup bag.
PACKAGING
Stila has managed more adorable packaging with their convertible colors. It is in a good-sized compact, and the front says Stila Convertible Color. There are also super cute graphics on the front, winding around the words- vines and flowers. The most unique thing about the packaging, however, is the color. Each convertible color is a different color compact to match the product. Orchid is in a deep berry-red-purple compact. The compacts are also very easy to close, and somewhat easy to open, so that is always a plus.
PRICE
When compared to other blushes in the industry, Stila Convertible Colors are fairly priced at $25. Though that price may seem steep at first, you must remember that you are buying a lipstick and a blush in one, because all of the colors, especially Orchid, work extremely well as both.
FINAL OPINIONS
Stila Convertible Color in Orchid is a great product for a great price. I recommend it to anyone interested in cream blush, or anyone who has all the experience in the world with cream blush. I don't know if Orchid is still available, as I got it in a set, but there is a beautiful, wide color spectrum to choose from. Stila Convertible Colors are overall great products because they have wonderful color selection/pigmentation, they have a fabulous formula, they are multi-use, reasonable priced, come in cute packaging, and super portable. Stila Convertible Colors are available for purchase at stilacosmetics.com, sephora.com, ulta.com, and Sephora and Ulta stores everywhere. I love this product and I know anyone else who uses it will fall in love, too.
