Still No Rain - a Poem

samaira
"Dusty clouds in here,

Cool air blowing here and there,

Still no rain falls here.

Each day in the evening,

Sky goes dark,

Sun is covered by clouds and looses its spark,

Weather changes its mood,

Still no rain falls here.

Sometimes, it drizzles for two minutes,

And sometimes for three,

Then suddenly sky becomes clear,

As the clouds flee,

And no rain falls here."

Source: I was tempted to write this poem seeing the weather here in our city. It is becoming so hot day by day without rainfall. This time here it is massive decline in rainfall. Hoping to see the rainfall soon.

Great poem. I can relate. It does not rain here much at all either. I think it rains maybe an inch if we are lucky a year. Our drinking water that we get from a lake is only a few years from being completely dried up. I know how hard it can get. I live in the desert and we are 3 years into a 10 year drought. It is also very hot and dry. Normally the temperatures reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit or 48 degrees Celsius. Just hang in there!

Nicely done. I'm relieved that the rain finally came. :-)

Times of drought are scary. It can get very serious because you have to have water for life. Glad you finally did get rain through.
