Stimulus Plan Funding an Obama Stimulus Revolution

Stephen C. Rose
Stimulus, you bet. Stimulus money for green. Stimulus money for a huge power grid. Stimulus money to move beyond carbon. And the GOP is bonkers with only a lap dog media between them and certain defeat. Yes, you heard it here. Charlie Cook, eat crow after the votes are counted. The GOP is afraid to admit it. But the Obama Stimulus Agenda they've been fighting is coming into being. The largely ignored reality of the stimulus aced them out. It is a riot.

TIME has detailed in one super article the huge impact of the stimulus. It's a stimulus impact that will be with us for decades. Rescuing us from years of GOP gridlock. Plus this stimulus fully understood is a GOP crusher.

Dems, take this TIME piece and puree it. Feed it to the GOP in little spoonfuls between now and November.

Required reading for friends and enemies. While everyone was sleeping, Obama rope-a-doped a stimulus revolution. Right under the noses of Boehner and Kantor and the rest of the GOP.

Recovery Act: How Obama's Stimulus Is Changing America - TIME: "Yes, the stimulus has cut taxes for 95% of working Americans, bailed out every state, hustled record amounts of unemployment benefits and other aid to struggling families and funded more than 100,000 projects to upgrade roads, subways, schools, airports, military bases and much more. But in the words of Vice President Joe Biden, Obama's effusive Recovery Act point man, 'Now the fun stuff starts!' The 'fun stuff,' about one-sixth of the total cost, is an all-out effort to exploit the crisis to make green energy, green building and green transportation real; launch green manufacturing industries; computerize a pen-and-paper health system; promote data-driven school reforms; and ramp up the research of the future."

The Obama stimulus was said to be a depression-stopper. And it was. But the stimulus is much more. The stimulus is remaking America. The stimulus is the Obama revolution. And the GOP remains livid
