Stocking Your Boudoir for Seduction

DJ Westerfield
Your man is on his way over and you have seduction on your mind. You've prepared the perfect dinner, your dressed in your sexiest, your hair is perfect and you smell good enough to eat, but as you walk into your bedroom you realize something is missing. Even when we have prepared the scene of seduction to the last detail the most important part, the bedroom, tends to be overlooked until it is too late. Don't fret though, this can be remedied. There are a few things every woman should have in her boudoir at all times for those great seduction moments, either planned or not so planned.

Setting the mood:
Seduction is all about the senses and stimulating them. The first step in any great seduction scene is setting the mood. To set the mood, you want to focus on sight, smell, and sound. There are only a few things you should have in your bedroom to create a sexy mood anytime.

  • Candles and incense-A few candles scattered about the room with the lights turned down low is an instant mood setter. To make this even better, make them scented candles, or light some sexy smelling incense. Just like having a sweet sexy scent on your body can turn your lover on, so can the right scent in your bedroom.
  • Sexy bedding-Cool, crisp sheets, soft blankets, and fluffy pillows are inviting any anytime. Bold, deep colors like deep reds, purples, and pinks will add to your bedding's sex appeal.
  • Music-Keeping a CD player and several of your favorite romantic CDs in your bedroom is always a good idea. Nothing puts sex on your mind quite like swaying to a slow, sexy tune.
  • Sexy Lingerie-Pretty self-explanatory! Keep at least two sets of sexy lingerie on hand; you never know when you're going to need it.
Sensual fun:
The last two senses, and the most fun to stimulate, are taste and touch. While you probably already have the tools for setting the mood lying around the house, the things you need to really buckle your mans knees are a little more specialized. If you don't have an adult store near you, you can find a full selection of goodies online. While we're giving you a basic list of essentials, have fun when shopping to fill your fun drawer and don't be afraid to try new things.
  • Long Silky Scarves-While we have been talking about stimulating the senses, the scarves are all about sensory deprivation. Use them to blindfold your guy, and/or loosely tie his hands and ravish his body. Blindfolds or handcuffs can also be used, but scarves add a certain sensuality, and most of us have a few on hand.
  • Massage Oils-What better way to seduce your man than to slick his body up with scented oils and drive him nuts with a super sexy all-over body massage. If you're lucky he will reciprocate.
  • Body Edibles-Now this is something you can really have fun with! There is a wide variety of edible body paints, glitters, oils, and honey dust. Take turns with your partner painting each other's bodies, then licking them clean.
Safe and practical:The next few things that are a must have in every woman's bedroom are not as fun as the rest, but are essential. Safety is sexy too.
  • Condoms-Don't leave your safety up to your man. Take control of yourself and your body. Keep a box of condoms in your bedside table, because he may not always have one in his wallet.
  • Lubricant-Massage oils should not be used with condoms because they degrade the latex and can make them ineffective. So, when you want a little extra slip and slide, having a water-based lubricant on hand can be very handy.
Most important:
Now you have almost everything you need to be ready for the next time you get in the mood to seduce your guy. The final and most important thing you must have in your boudoir is imagination. Be creative. Use this list of essentials as a jumping off point, but don't stop there. There are a plethora of fun props, such as vibrators, feathers, and soft bristled brushes out there that can really spice up the bedroom. Be courageous and try new things. Don't be afraid to experiment a little with new toys and how you use them.
