Do you have a spouse or sweetheart on your Christmas list? If you do, chances are you'll be filling a stocking for them. Stockings are not just for kids. Here you'll find lots of ideas for filling up a stocking for your sweetheart, sibling, parent or friend.

Hobby Related Items. Personalized stocking stuffers are made easy when you consider your recipient's hobbies. A scrapbooker would enjoy new pens, inkpads, stamps or stickers. Packets of vegetable or flower seeds for a gardener, sewing machine needles for a seamstress, and fishing flies for the outdoorsman are all good ideas. You can also buy items for your loved one's collection, such as a shot glass, spoon or coin.

Reading Materials. There's a magazine subscription for everyone out there. Paperback books fit well into stockings. A crossword puzzles or a Sudoku book would also fit nicely. Top it off with a special bookmark and a reading light.

Gift Cards. With gift cards, anything goes for adults. From dining out to groceries, the outdoor recreation store or the spa, there is surely a gift card to fit into the stocking of everyone on your list. Even a $5 McDonald's or iTunes card would be appreciated.

Tickets. A pair of tickets tucked into a stocking will certainly keep the recipient thinking of you beyond Christmas morning. You can buy tickets to the theater, ballet, movies, museum, a sporting event, the zoo - you name it! If you're really feeling generous, why not splurge on airline tickets for a weekend getaway?

Travel Items. Basic toiletries in small containers make great stocking stuffers, whether for a purse or to carry on business trips. Mini tissue packs, lotions or hand sanitizers also fit into this category. You could even get a mini-travel game or a deck of cards to occupy those hours spent in the airport.

Office Supplies. Christmas is a great time to restock your loved one's desk or home office. Pens, tape, batteries, staples and stationery are all great office-related items that will fit into a stocking. Or, why not save someone else the trouble of running to the post office by putting a sheet of stamps in his or her stocking? A special coffee mug for the office is also a great idea.

Pampering. Pick up a small bottle of massage oil in his or her favorite scent, along with a mini-massager to make Christmas vacation even more relaxing. A small container of bubble bath and a candle would also fit in a stocking. Or splurge on a special coffee or tea in an unusual flavor.

Snacks. Food is an all-time favorite stocking stuffer. It isn't hard to figure out what your recipient would like. Throw in his or her favorite candy bars, a bag of their favorite chips, some mints or a piece of fruit.

Remember that as long as an item can fit into the stocking you are stuffing, it can count as a stocking stuffer. DVDs, CDs, a new watch, wallet or key chain or even cash can all be used as stocking stuffers. For the ladies, consider lipgloss, hair accessories, earrings or jewelry - no woman would be disappointed to find jewelry in her stocking on Christmas morning!
