Do you have a book lover in your life? You will know this because they are a voracious reader, and chances are if you actually buy them a book they say to you "Oh I've already read that...." But you can still find great stocking stuffers for Christmas for that book lover in your life that are sure to please. The key is to find stocking stuffer ideas that support and compliment the book reading, as opposed to actually getting them the books themselves.

Book Thongs. These have become so popular. If you are the crafty type, you can actually make a book thong quite easily. Book thongs are another form of a book mark. They are quite pretty and come in so many different styles there is sure to be something that your book lover would enjoy. A book thong will fit quite neatly into a stocking, as many of these are wire or ribbon with beads on them.

Gift Certificate. While giving books is a challenge to a real book lover, one great idea is giving them a gift certificate to their favorite book store. Then they can go book hunting to find something they haven't had the opportunity to discover yet, and that is all part of the fun of being a book lover.

Audiobook. An audiobook is a great idea for a book lover. Many people like to listen to these as they commute to and from work. It can be very relaxing listening to an audio book. You can listen to these on your iPod or other digital player, or on your CD player.

Goodies. Most book lovers like to enjoy some type of nibbly while they are reading a good book. Biscotti and a nice cup of tea can be a great book reading snack. Or chocolate covered nuts can be a very decadent snack. At Christmas time there are many different snacks available, from yogurt covered pretzels to homemade trail mix, you are sure to find something that your book lover will gobble up.

Magazine Subscription. Many book lovers are not just book readers, they are readers in general. They probably read at least one newspaper a day and other magazines each month. So a magazine subscription would be a very welcomed gift. Search for something that would be of interest to them, from a large general interest news publication like Time, to a home crafts publication like Martha Stewart Living or a writer's publication like Poets & Writers. Your bookstore will have a wide variety of magazines to view through to get inspiration for. Tuck a copy of the magazine into the stocking so your book lover knows what the magazine is like.
