Stocking Stuffer Ideas for LDS Kids

Swishina
There are plenty of fun LDS stocking stuffer ideas for kids. Many of these items can be bought at an LDS bookstore, through the Church Distribution Center, at a local Christian gift and bible store, or online. Here are 8 ideas for Mormon items to put in your child's Christmas stocking.

Stickers. All kids love stickers. You can find Primary-themed stickers at stores like Deseret Book or Seagull Book. Stickers with pictures of temples, scriptures, or that say "I am a Child of God" or class sayings (CTR, etc) are also available. Generic church and Bible stickers can also be found at your local Christian gift store.

Pencils. Pencils are a lot like stickers: kids love them, they are available in countless varieties, and they make a terrific stocking stuffer. Pick out a few with Primary song lyrics on them for your child's stocking.

CTR Ring. Cheap, green, one-size CTR rings are available for $1.50 from the Church Distribution Center or Deseret Book for your Primary-aged child. This is the perfect gift for younger kids who are likely to lose jewelry.

Children's Songbook. Many kids like to follow along with the songs during Primary. A pocket-sized Children's Songbook can be embossed with your child's name at the Distribution Center and makes a great stocking stuffer. With a Children's Songbook at home you can also help your child learn the Primary songs.

Activity Books. There are tons of LDS themed activity books that are great for keeping kids occupied during Sacrament Meeting. Book of Mormon coloring books, gospel word searches and other types of activity books are available at LDS bookstores. You can also find Bible story-themed activity books at local Christian Bible and Gift bookstores. Roll an activity book up and put it in your child's stockings with a new box of crayons or colored pencils.

Card Game. Among several LDS card games created for kids are matching games for littler children, and question games for older ones. You can even buy Book of Mormon Go Fish cards! These card games are under $10, fit perfectly in a stocking and can be found at Deseret Book or deseretbook.com

Temple Picture. Put a small card picture of your nearest temple in your child's Christmas stocking and inspire him daily. The picture can be put on his bulletin board or mirror, or used as a bookmark. Pictures of most temples are available through the Church Distribution Center. You could also use a picture of the First Presidency.

Articles of Faith Bookmark. If your child is in Primary then he or she is being encouraged to memorize the Articles of Faith. What better way to help than by putting an Articles of Faith Bookmark in your child's stocking? These are also available from the Church Distribution Center or LDS bookstore, but you could easily make your own on your computer.
