Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Pets
Fluffy or Fido Deserve Their Own Stocking This Year! Here Are Some Great Stocking Stuffer Ideas!
Pet Treats. This is number one on the list. Every Christmas stocking for your pet should have some type of pet treat. There are so many pet treats available. Visit your local pet food store, or even the grocery store to find a selection of pet treats that your pet will love. Some pets like some of the food that we eat as a special treat - a cat may like a can of tuna for example. While it is not best to overload your pet with treats, giving them a treat every once in awhile is okay for most pets.
Pet Toys. Pet toys are simply good for your pet. They offer your pet mental stimulation and let them get some exercise. Pet toys can be comforting, if you have a cat or a dog, they may carry a special toy around the house when they are worried or feeling a little anxious. Giving your pet some toys is a great idea. You can even find pet toys that are themed for the holidays in red and green colors or in Christmassy shapes.
Pet First Aid Class. While your pet would not attend the class, this would be a wonderful, life-saving gift to give your pet. Why not get a gift certificate to take a pet first aid class? You can find a pet first aid class through your local Red Cross or some larger College Continuing Education Departments. This class will teach you how to handle some emergency situations, and very well could help you deal with an emergency situation with your pet, or a pet of someone that you know.
Pet Clothes. Okay, not every pet is going to appreciate this. If I try to put my cat into a sweater - I'm going to need something along the lines of that pet first aid class for myself. But many dogs like coats for inclement weather, or holiday themed sweaters. See first if your pet would appreciate some clothing items and then decide if this is a good gift. A coat could keep them warm, but something that is costumy and silly - they probably would find uncomfortable and upsetting. Always think of your pet's feelings first.
Pet Info Books. There are many books available with information about your pets. From behavior and breeding to keeping them healthy. You can even find books of recipes for pet treats, so you can whip of a batch of pet treats that are made especially for your beloved pet! While you do read the book, your pet is the one who truly reaps the benefits.
