Christmas morning just wouldn't be the same without your Christmas stocking. But sometimes after doing all of that shopping, we get a little "burnt out" on the idea of doing even more shopping. Teenage girls can be notoriously hard to shop for, with their trends that go in and out as fast as the changing weather. Here are some ideas that are sure to please.

Holiday Fun makeup. There is lots of makeup out there directed at teens made just for the holidays. Why not get your teenage girl some peppermint scented lipgloss? There are lots of ideas to choose from, from pots of lipgloss to nailpolish and even body sprays. The holidays are also the perfect time for little sampler sizes of those famous perfumes to come out (found at most large drug stores). Those are a great addition to any Christmas stocking.

Batteries. What teenage girl isn't hooked up to some gadget that just eats batteries 24/7? Between computer games and CD players, batteries are always a welcome sight. If you don't know what type of batteries to get, just ask your teenage girl ahead of time and they will be glad to tell you.

Manicure Gift Certificate. There are manicure salons literally everywhere you turn. And getting a manicure can be a real treat, especially for teens. Why not treat your teenage girl to a manicure with a manicure gift certificate? In most areas this will cost between 7 to 15 dollars. This is a great stocking stuffer, or even a stand alone gift perfect for a babysitter or mother's helper.

Chocolates and Sweets. Christmas is a time to indulge. Even the most diet-conscious teen will give in, and have a marshmallow covered Santa, or a candy cane. Add some treats to their stocking, especially their childhood favorites that are sure to please.

Handheld Sudoku or Computer Game. Many teens like the handheld computer games. Not all of them are so expensive. I have seen a handheld Sudoku game (with more than 500 puzzles) for $14.99. If your teen likes Sudoku puzzles, then this is a great winner. If your teen plays another computer game, then consider getting them a game to play with their system or a different handheld game.

Hair Barrettes or Headbands. Most teenage girls have a love/hate relationship with their hair. Typically they are trying to get their hair to do something that is usually does not do. So if it is curly - they want it to be straight. If it is straight, they want lots of curls. Give your teen some hair barrettes or a headband in their Christmas stocking if they are the type to play around with their hairstyle.

Costume (or real) Jewelry. There are lots of great ideas for holiday jewelry. There are jingle bell earrings and pins that light up. A charm bracelet is also a great gift for a teenage girl. Or you can buy them a piece of jewelry that appeals to their personal tastes. A popular costume jewelry store that teens like a lot is called Claire's. You can find it at many local malls. Or your teen may have another favorite store that you are aware of.

Gift Card for a Music CD. Buying your teenage girl music is probably like searching for the Holy Grail, if she is like most teens, her taste changes quickly, or she snaps up the latest CDs the minute she likes them - so there is the chance you could be buying her a duplicate CD. Why not get her a gift card for the amount of a CD? Or get her a CD of holiday music.
