Filling Christmas Stockings for $10 or Less

Christmas brings family gatherings, decorations and gifts. You plan for visitors and tons of sweets. The house is all decorated and you've hung the stocking. Those without fireplaces opt for putting them on a stand or getting creative. The stockings while a nice decoration have to be filled. Budget a bit tight? Not to worry there are dozens of things for $10 or less than can be used to fill them up.

Dollar Tree/Dollar General

Everyone knows that the Dollar Tree sells everything for a dollar or less. What you buy here will depend on who you're buying it for. This store is mostly for filling the kids stockings. Some of the things they have are available at other stores at well. The Dollar General has a lot of things for less than $10. The Dollar General often puts thing on clearance which can increase the number of things you can put in the stocking.

Kids Stuff

Kids stockings can be filled with bubble gum, bubbles or small toys (depending on the age). Balloons are nice stocking stuffers depending on the age of the child. Toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss can be put in anyone's stockings at Christmas. If children like puzzles there are a wide range that you can choose from depending on their age. Peg puzzles for little ones and more complicated things such as jigsaw puzzles for older kids. Plastic colorful watches are fun for kids. You can put videos in the stocking too!

Stocking Stuffers for Teenagers/Adults

What do they like? You can put gift cards to stores such as Game Stop, Wal-Mart, K-Mart or a book store depending on their interest. Pens, pencils, erasers (works for younger kids too) can go in the stocking for school or work. Personalization can be done to pens. Watches fit into stockings.

Useful Stocking Stuffers

The things in the stocking may not all be fun depending on the budget and who they are for. With a budget of $10 or less you can get a couple useful items though. Shaving cream, razors, body bath, bubble bath and things like that are all less than $10 and will fit in a stocking. The practical options are sometimes affordable ones too!

When you begin the search for stocking stuffers that cost $10 or less you can find things all day long. Taking the time to look during the year will increase the chances of finding things on the clearance rack that you want. While the items on the clearance rack may not be normally under ten dollars they can next to nothing on the rack.
