Stocking Stuffers for Husbands

Christie Silvers

Stocking stuffers can become the best gifts of all. Especially if you are on a tight budget and you and your husband have decided to forgo giving big gifts to each other. With stocking stuffers you can still splurge on your wonderful husband for the holiday and yet not spend a fortune doing it. When it comes to stocking stuffers for my husband I like to go with a theme for that year. Here are a few quick and easy stocking stuffers for husbands.

My husband is a big Nascar fan. He's always asking for a new hat or a new shirt. The other day he was asking me to buy him a Christmas tree ornament in the shape of Dale Earnhardt Jr's race car. So I've decided that this year I'll be doing a Nascar theme for his stocking. You can do this with any sports team or celebrity that your husband is interested in. I'll be adding that little race car ornament to my husband's stocking. You can add a new t-shirt, rolled up tightly to fit. Or a new ball cap. If you have the cash flow available you could even buy your husband some tickets to his favorite sporting event. Those fit nicely into a stocking. Anything related to his favorite sport will make a great stocking stuffer for your husband.

Another theme that I have done and was well received by my husband was a body care stocking. Maybe your guy has been eyeing a new disposable razor or a new scent of after shave. This is the perfect time to buy those items for your husband. Buy that new disposable razor. Throw in a trial size can of his favorite shaving gel. Add a new bottle of after shave and maybe a new cologne. Now you have a nice and useful stocking full of manly goodies.

If your husband is a fisherman then a stocking can be the perfect place to hide all of the new goodies that you could buy for him. New lures, plastic worms, rolls of fishing line.....all of these can be put into a Christmas stocking without any troubles at all. Maybe your husband needs a new poncho for when he's out on the lakes. Ponchos can be easily squeezed into a stocking. Of course if he's asking for a super duper new rod and reel then I don't think you will be able to get those into a stocking. But all of the little accessories for that new rod and reel will fit nicely.

Is your husband a gamer? There are so many new gaming systems, games and gaming accessories available on the market that I'm sure you could find something to put into your wonderful husband's Christmas stocking. If he's been contemplating buying a new game but just hasn't gotten around to doing it then you could surprise him with it in his stocking. Most games for all of the gaming systems will fit into a regular sized Christmas stocking. Maybe he's like my husband and needs a new wireless controller. These also fit nicely into a Christmas stocking and you can usually find one for around $20. How about a subscription to a gaming magazine? Order this early so that you will have at least one issue arriving just in time to roll it up and put it into his stocking. If you still can't decide, you could just buy him a nice gift card to the store he likes to buy his gaming merchandise from.

There are many things that you can put into your husband's Christmas stocking. All you have to do is look at the topics that interest him. If he's an avid reader you could buy him a new book or even just a gift card to his favorite book store. If he's wanting an iPod or something similar then these make great stocking stuffers. If he already has an MP3 player you could buy him a gift card to his favorite music download website online so that he can fill that MP3 player up with his favorite tunes. If he's into tools then throw in some new pieces for him to enjoy or add a new tape measure that does things his old one doesn't do. Just focus on his likes and I bet you will come up with some great ideas for stocking stuffers for your husband.

Happy Holidays to everyone!!
