Stocking Stuffers for Middle School Girls

Lisa Riggs
Although the Christmas holiday is a bet less exciting for middle school girls than from years past, they still enjoy receiving fun gifts of all shapes and sizes. While the toys and dolls have been replaced with clothes and electronics, the stocking stuffer gifts are still a source of great joy. Here are my favorite picks for Christmas stocking gifts for tween and teen girls.

Fun Computer Accessories. Most parents choose to go with the basics when purchasing their children a laptop and desk computer. Christmas is the perfect time to splurge on that neon colored mouse, funky mouse pad and animal print soft laptop case. Middle school girls are all about the sparkle and bright colors. Stuffing your daughter's holiday stocking with some fun and funky accessories for the computer will surely be a hit.

Cell Phone Extras. Has your middle school girl been asking for a designer cell phone case or kit to add some rhinestones or lettering to the phone? She will surely love waking up on Christmas morning to a few fun and stylish accessory pieces for her phone.

School Locker Decorations. Middle school is generally where a student first acquires a locker to store jackets, lunches and school books. Girls at this age love to personalize that space and add a bit of color and fun to an otherwise drab looking storage item. Fill your daughter's stocking with framed photos of actors and singers, a mini mirror framed in a bright color or wild patter and magnets with fun sayings. She will love going back to school after the winter break being able to add a bit of pizazz to her locker.

Flame Free Candles. Young ladies at this age begin to take an interest in decorating. They love to give their bedrooms a bit of adult flair and create a cozy space to hang out with friends. Allowing children and even teenagers to burn candles in their rooms is not a very wise idea. The battery operated alternatives are a safe way to give their space a bit of style without the danger. Your daughter will love adding the flame free candles to her bedroom and showing off the new look to her friends.

Matching Jewelery to Share with Friends. A very popular tradition with girls at this age is to split up a set of jewelery and share the pieces with best friends. Identical necklaces, bracelets and earrings symbolize the bond between them. The jewelery does not need to be expensive, it just needs to match. Select a pair of earrings, a necklace or bangle bracelet that you think would appeal to your girl and then purchase two or three sets. Your middle school daughter can gather with her girlfriends over the winter break and pass out the jewelery. She will love being able to participate in this craze and will think you are pretty wonderful for making it possible for her to do so.
