Stocking Stuffers for Teenagers

Ben M
Are you looking for those perfect stocking stuffer ideas for a teenager? Teenager children are hard to buy for since they're becoming independent, smarter, and have developed social skills. Stocking stuffers are meant to be small, fun gifts, but with teenagers you also want them to be useful. Trying to do this without breaking the bank is a difficult thing to do, especially if you have several children in this age range. Here are a few stocking stuffer ideas for your teenager:

Blank CDs.
Start the process out by thinking like a teenager. What things would they appreciate? What are they interested in? Teenagers are very interested in technology and computers, especially downloading music. Provide some blank discs in their stocking so they can continue to download music and make their own CDs.

Two Movie Passes.
Most teenagers spend Friday and Saturday night hanging out with friends or going to see a movie. Chances are, they're going to ask you for money anyway if they went to the movies so why not get them two movie passes to the local cinema? Providing two tickets gives them the chance to take either a friend or a date and that will make them excited about the event.

Special Christmas ornament.
A great idea is to stuff the stocking with some type of personalized Christmas ornament. This can be a variety of things, whether you personalize their name on the ornament with glitter to buying them angel shaped ornaments every year. When they grow up they'll have a collection of ornaments that are special to them since they received them every year from their mother and father.

Key Chain.
For the teenagers that have learned to drive, you could stuff the stocking with a special key chain for their set of new car keys. For boys, you could find a key chain that represents their favorite sports team and for the girls you could find an appropriate key chain with a designer logo or message written on it. You could even go to the extent of buying a holiday themed key chain.

Cell Phone Accessories.
As I mentioned earlier, find things that your teenager may be interested in. Most teenagers today are familiar with technology and the majority own cell phones. You could provide a nice little collection of accessories for your teenager to go along with their cell phone. This includes interchangeable cell phone faceplates, with different colors and patterns that can be changed often. You could include additional cell phone chargers for their car or desk. Providing your teenager with a headset will allow them to talk hands-free on their cell phone so it might make driving a little safer. One more accessory you could give is a leather case for their cell phone that come in a variety of different kinds like body glove, Milante, Denim, and water proof cases.

Gift Certificate for a local mall
Teenagers love freedom and the ability to choose, so buying giving them a general $20 gift card to the mall they'll have the chance to select their own store to shop in. They're more up to date on the latest fashion trends so don't feel it's necessary to get them a gift card to a specific store.

Books.
Choose stocking stuffers that your teenager can learn from. The type of magazines that teenagers typically read can be filled with useless content, so give them something that can be educational and fun. Figure out what they're interests are. If they're interested in a sports team, buy them a book chronicling the team's history. If your teenager daughter is interested in a particular actor or actress, search online for a biography of that actor for them to read.

Video game accessories.
For your teenage boy, stuff his stocking with some accessories for their PlayStation or Xbox. For $30, you can buy a carrying case and organizer for their game console. You could also provide them with wireless controllers or additional memory cards so they can save their game's progress.

Jewelry.
For your teenage daughter, give them a personalized bracelet or necklace that has their name or initials engraved on it. The sterling silver gift can be chic and stylish, and created just for her! It's a great way to have them wear their name with pride.

Those are just a few stocking stuffer ideas for your teenager. Good luck!
