Stocking Tradition

Stockings are a typical Christmas tradition. Many families stuff stockings for Christmas day. Small gifts and candy often fill the stockings. Even if you do not have a mantle, your family can still have stockings to fill. You can hang the stockings from a wall or even from a shelf. It is nice to have stockings that match each person's personality and character. It does not take a lot to get custom stockings for your family, just a little creativity. If your family has never done stockings then you can even make them into a gift this year. Wait until the kids are in bed and then fill the stockings and hang them. This will be a nice surprise for the kids and a good way to introduce the new tradition to them. Then next year you can hang the stockings during your regular decorating and fill them on Christmas Eve.
