but I take on new form, smooth an inlay of fragmented pieces...a path along a sunlit walk that leads to the forest of evergreen.
Stonecutter you must be, as you chisel and hammer away at the soul of me,
but I take on new form, as I align a wall covered in clinging, flowering vines, an entrance to an aviary filled with bird song and lovers hand in hand.
Stonecutter you must be, as you chisel and hammer away at every part of me, but I take on new form, engraved in statuary, a fountain flowing gentle waters, whereas children toss pennies to cast a wish.
Stonecutter you must be, as you chisel and hammer away at the life of me,
a grave marker, but I take on new form, as I emerge in the life of grassy fields and wildflowers, breath of breeze along a meadow, embracing what once was, and what always will be,
love within, heart and soul's immortality.

Oh April think this is going to be one of my favorites of your work - the two meanings combine beautifully.
Stone cutter. You're not talking about cutting stones. Moving poetry.
