Stop Hair Loss by Eating, Shampooing and Self-Control

Mr. C
Are more and more hairs appearing at the bottom of your shower each morning? Do not feel alone; millions of others discover the same thing each and every day. Hair loss is common in men and women over the age of twenty, that is correct, many begin losing hair as young as twenty years of age. Hair loss can be caused by too much stress, a bad diet, and/or heredity. A normal person loses between 100 and 150 hairs a day, whether you pull the dead hairs out with a brush or not.

There are numerous ways to battle hair loss. I recommend you use a combination of an improved diet, hair strengthening shampoo/conditioners, and self-control.

Diet
A proper diet is the key to keeping your hair. Eating greasy food everyday hurts your entire body, from stomach to heart to hair. Make sure your diet is balanced nutritiously; strong hair requires a large amount of fruits and vegetables. If you find eating properly isn't cutting it, you should buy multi-vitamins; these can be found at any drug store. They do not have to be specifically for hair. Many individuals swear by the use of prenatal vitamins, these do not have any negative effects on your body, and you will notice your hair becoming far thicker after about three weeks of use. Lastly, make sure you are drinking large amounts of water each day; many hairs fall out due to being dry and brittle.

Shampoos/Conditioners
There are dozens of shampoos and conditioners that can help prevent hair loss. Look for productions that say they provide strength and thickening. Most of the products use the same ingredients and give the same effects: stronger, thicker hair. I found that "Garnier Fructis Long and Strong" and "Pantene Full & Thick" work best.

Self-control
For thick and strong hair it is important for you to avoid blow drying, flat ironing, and using a curler on your hair. While it may make your hair look beautiful for that one night, it also helps make your hair dry, brittle, and weak. Avoid brushing your hair roughly and attempting to rip out those knots and tangles. You must be gentle with you hair.

As an aging male, I have found a combination of proper eating and product use has greatly slowed the effects of balding. If after following my suggestions your hair continues to fall out, I recommend first going to see a stylist to find out about any new products on the market. If that fails, and you must stop the hair loss, you should see a doctor and think about having one of the operations to stop balding, such as hair plugs.
