The pleasing texture of these stewed tomatoes makes them a great accompaniment to almost any type of dish. Personally, I really enjoy eating these tomatoes with fish and other types of seafood and I also like utilizing them in various types of sauces.

Swimming in tomato juice in the can alongside the tomatoes are small pieces of dehydrated onion, dehydrated green bell pepper and dehydrated celery, which add some interesting textures to the stewed tomatoes.

Taste / Flavor
For many years, I've been eating Stop & Shop brand Stewed Tomatoes. They really do taste quite good and whenever I open a can of them, I invariably eat some of them plain, straight from the can.

If you're a fan of stewed tomatoes, this variety pretty much offers a classic stewed tomatoes flavor. If you're not familiar with stewed tomatoes, they are slightly sweet in flavor and they are a great ingredient to add to pasta sauce. Stewed tomatoes and seafood also go together very well.
