In fact, St. Johns Wort tincture will work for most stomach related complaints caused by viruses, food poisoning or overindulgence in wrong foods. As with any herbal remedy, you need to exercise caution and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
To stop the Vomiting in Adults
Put 10 drops of St. John's Wort tincture into a tablespoon of water. Drink the mixture and wait for half an hour. If there is no improvement in symptoms, take another dose of 10 drops in a tablespoon of water. Wait another half an hour. If there is no improvement, repeat the dose. If after this there is no improvement or you're feeling worse, you need to seek medical attention. If there is a slight improvement, keep taking the remedy until the vomiting stops.
To Stop the Vomiting in Children
Put 5 drops of St. John's Wort tincture into a tablespoon of water. Drink the mixture and wait for half an hour. If there is no improvement in symptoms, give another dose of 5 drops in a tablespoon of water. Wait another half an hour. If there is no improvement, repeat the dose. If after this there is no improvement or there is a worsening of symptoms, seek medical attention. If there is a slight improvement, keep giving the remedy until the vomiting stops.
How to Tell if the Remedy is Working
The remedy is working if the time between the vomiting bouts increases. Use a timer to see if this is the case. If so, take the remedy straight after each vomiting bout until vomiting stops completely.
