Stop the World
A Prayer to My Heavenly Father
Cease the rushing madness
That sorrounds me through my day.
Halt the crazy chaos
And lead me as I pray.
For mercy in my faltering
For peace to hold me tight,
For the wisdom to see truth,
And strength to make it right.
I am merely human,
Formed from dirt and clay,
Needing your guiding glory,
To cover the words I say.
So, release me from my worries
Hear the crying of your girl,
Wrap me in Your great love,
And simply stop the world.
