Stopping Unsolicited Telemarketer Calls to Your Cell Phone

One of the most annoying things that I have ever experienced in life was getting calls from telemarketers who are trying to sell me new products. At one point, I was receiving up to 30 calls every day from companies that would call me to pitch items and try to make a sale. They would promise me free tricks and trial programs if I would be willing to have their items shipped to my house. I never accepted these offers because I did not trust the people and I hated them for having wasted my minutes, which was costing me a lot of money. These calls happened to me on a daily basis until I figured out some simple ways to stop the telemarketing calls and give you peace of mind:

You should register for the do not call list because this is the list which they must honor by law. I f you are on the list then they cannot call you by law unless you have previously given them permission to do so. However, there are cases where they will go against the law and continue to call you and you should take these additional steps.

Change your answering machine message so that your name is no longer outgoing to callers. What you should do is make sure that your phone number is played whenever someone calls you. This will ensure that they do not know if the number actually belongs to you, which will reduce calls because they will not know whom they are contacting.

If the calls continue then you will need to make sure that you do not pick up any calls from phone numbers that you do not already have in your phone book. If they do not get to talk with you after they continue to call then they will eventually stop throwing their time out with calls to you.

If they still continue to call you then you should call your cellular provider and ask for them to change your phone number. This will work with T-mobile, Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T. This will require that you give your new number to all of the people who you wish to stay in contact with but if you are going to get rid of the calls then you will need to take some drastic steps. This is the one step that will stop the calls for sure and save you money.
