Story of Bublee

GEORGE
Bublee was a young bear that lived with his parents and two siblings in a thick forest which was on the valley of a huge mountain. He loved his home and its surroundings and was very popular for among his friends. Bublee was friendly and cute and got so many friends in his neighborhood. His home was near a river and he enjoyed fishing. However, his main hobby was searching for honey. He had a special talent to spot honey which is tasty. He had everything he could wish for and seemed very satisfied with his life.

One fine day while he was searching for the honey through the forest he noticed an interesting thing. There were some Beavers who were actively participating in a community work. Out of curiosity Bublee asked them

"Hey Friends, May I know what project you are doing now? Why are all in a hurry?

"We are building a Dam to protect our homes. We got an information that there is going to be a flood soon and if we don't complete this project in time, then we all will die", they replied.

Bublee was now very eager to help them because he thought it was his responsibility to do so as it involved many valuable lives and saving his family and friends. It was a downstream but the water level was low at that time. Beavers had their own schedule and plan to build the dam, and one old Beaver who have years of experience in managing such building projects was taking the lead roll in executing the project. He was assigning responsibilities to others and instructions. Bublee soon got his assignment to help Beavers to transport materials required for building the dam. He made friendship with all of them and his best friend was Bimbee a smart young chap just like him.

One day while Bimbee and Bublee were searching for wood logs, they heard a scream from a distance. They felt that somebody is in trouble. They ran to that location where the sound was coming and found that a small elephant was crying.

Bublee asked him,

"My dear friend, Why are you crying"?

"I lost my way back to home. My parents might be looking for me". The elephant replied crying.

Bublee and Bimbee consoled him and promised him to find his way. Bublee made a whistle sound and his friend Sonata the parrot landed on Bublee's shoulder. He introduced Sonata to his friends.

"Hey Friends, this is Sonata, he can fly high and locate anything we can't. He can help us".

He told him about the young elephant's problem and asked for Sonatas' help to locate the elephants. The parrot fly away and found a herd of elephants at a distance. He landed on the branch of a tree and told the leader of the Elephant herd about the young elephant. They became very happy as they were searching for him for a long time. Lead by Sonata, they reached the spot

They all were very enthusiastic and they could finish the Dam project well before the scheduled time. Beavers thanked him a lot for his voluntary service and invited him to stay with them for few days and gave him lot of honey as a gift. He was very happy and honey tasted so good, it was different from the honey he ever had in his life.

After few days it started raining. It was a heavy downpour and all animals in the forest were inside their homes. Bublee remembered about his Dam project and went to the place where Beavers were having their Dam built. There were no body near the dam and he could see how well the Dam is keeping the water level under control. It was a nice experience for him to see their project finally has accomplished something great, which saved lives of many innocent animals including him.
