Tree of Truths

There it is, I reach for it I see
the strange fruit on the tree
The same tree which endured rope burns
is now bearing fruit...I think I see...

Yes, I see
Erin Burnett that little girl I see
reaching for a piece from this tree...

that wisp of a girl like a Chinese noodle I see
her skinny arm reaching for the odd thing...
that scabrous nasty fruit, misshapen and scarred...

What a pungent, bitter seed!

    There is nothing missing from this poem: my point is to show the carelessness of the news biz that tells one story while ignoring a root story. Referencing a current story wouldn't solve any issues for understanding my point.
