Strange Occurrences This Year Via Viral Text

Jay-Jamar
There seems to be much significance with the year 2011. As the 1st quarter has not fully commenced, there are already historical occurrences happening around the globe. The media has been filled with tragedy reports and harsh events from civil unrest to natural disasters. What perhaps is the relevance of all of this, if there is one? Perhaps there isn't anything significant at all and it is just mere coincidence of these relative events. Regardless of what is true or false in theory, the fact remains that there are things still happening around us that can only make one say...Hmmmm!

To start out with, we will take a look at the number "111".

Earlier today I received a viral text message that stated some interesting facts about the current year we are in. The viral text went on to further state the meaning of the given facts and steps to take in response to the viral text. Here is an excerpt of the viral text message.

"This year we are going to experience four unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11....This is the year of Money..!!! This year October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Saturdays. This happens only every 823 years...These particular years are known as 'Moneybags'...The proverb goes that if you send this to eight good friends (already today translated from the Brazilian version...!) money will appear in the next four days as is explained in Chinese Feng-shui..."

The viral text goes on to state that those whom do not send the message would not be rewarded. Now of course this portion seems to be the viral aspect of the text, simply to start mass text hysteria for whatever reason. Just as I stated in a previous article regarding mass texting, New Anthrax Scare , some people do it to get hits and views for personal gain. However, this mass texting scheme shows no immediate gain, but instead seems more informational than anything. This was the main reason for me not instantly deleting the viral text, but instead conducting my own research on it.

Another part of the viral text message stated another very interesting fact that has proven to hold true despite disbelief. The text gave a mathematical equation for one to solve in which the end result was always the number "111". One can try this at home to experience the real results for themselves.

Take the last two digits of the year you were born and add it to the age you will be this year. Regardless of anyone on this earth living, the sum of the two numbers will result "111". As crazy and perhaps scary as this may sound, as I have stated before-math is finite, and therefore does not lie. I have taken the ages and last two numbers of birth years of many people and have resulted with the number "111" every time. As interesting as this had become for me, I decided to take this a step further. Adding up the sum of all of those similar dates also equals 11.

1/1/11=13

1/11/11=23

11/1/11=23

11/11/11=33

13+23+23+33=92

And 9+2=11

As this is the beginning of my discoveries with this number and this year in particular, I am sure I may find more instances relative to this number relation and perhaps more. I have always been into mathematics for mathematics is finite, and just about anything in life can be put into a mathematical equation to be solved for. Even in school this has been my field of study as I have been fascinated with the things that math brings us. Be mindful of what goes around you and maybe you too might stumble on your own discovery.
