They may seem uncommon but are actually true

Most persons know those common signs of stress like feeling exhausted and just physically and mentally beat down. Along with the symptoms of stress come some other related problems such as suppressed immune system, increased risk for heart attack and raised blood pressure.

Stress can cause other symptoms that appear and may not be widely known. These symptoms are uncommon but still are indicators of stress.

Food cravings can happen. Even though some people have no desire to eat others have cravings for chocolate, junk food, fizzy drinks and even caffeine.

Vomiting is another awful sign of stress. Stress and anxiety can trigger it and is a condition called cyclic vomiting syndrome. This condition causes people to endure nausea and vomiting over a span of time. Mostly, it occurs at the same time every day.

A sore jaw just may be a tell-tale sign of teeth clenching or grinding, Many people seem to do this when they are under stress.

Headaches on weekends actually come from the relaxation from the weekly stress. This fast drop in stress can bring that migraine on.

Hair loss can be caused by a host of reasons and stress is one of them. Stress could cause narrowing of the arteries which restricts blood flow to the scalp. Some hair stylists believe this could be the reason behind temporary hair loss.

Many common skin conditions like eczema become worse when under stress, according to dermatologist Dr. Robin Russell-Jones. Even itching and scratching for no known reason can occur when under stress. Stress also can activate the release of histamine, the chemical known as the cause of allergic reactions.

Stress can also restrict breathing and has negative effects on blood pressure and heart rate. Irregular heart beats or fluttering are not uncommon symptoms. These usually are not a concern in young and healthy people. However, prolonged chest pain should be checked out by your health practitioner.

Other unusual sings include excessive sweating, ringing in the ears, eyelid spasms and even bizarre dreams.

There are alternative treatments for those who do not wish to medicate to alleviate stress.

Some of these alternatives include:

Chiropractic

Chronic stress produces nerve irritation. Chiropractor's can perform adjustments to the spine which will release muscle tension and aide the body to return to normal. This producing a calm and relaxed state. When the irritation in the nerves is removed, blood circulation improves along with boosting the body's immune system.

Tai Chi

The practice of Tai Chi provides numerous health benefits both physically and mentally.

These benefits include immune system, overall well being and stress release.

Yoga

Yoga is another stress buster method. The controlled breathing exercises in yoga are popular for relaxation and stress management. Hatha yoga is among the main choices for stress. It has slowed paced and easy movements to use which make it great for beginners.

Reflexology

Reflexologists believe that there must be a balance of the mind, body and spirit to have well-being. The therapeutic touch in reflexology is known as being fundamental for well-being.

Reflexologists alleviate stress in a drug-free and non-invasive manner that reduces tension which promotes muscle relaxation. It is great for anyone from children to adults and seniors.
