Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers: Product Review

I was never too fond of the original Whopper candies, but I am always in the mood for trying new types of foods and products. So, I was at the grocery store yesterday, and I was standing at the checkout counter and I saw these Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers sitting right next to the rest of the candy. I decided to give this product a try, because I am a huge fan of Strawberry Milkshakes, so I thought the flavor would be awesome. Also, I recently tried another new flavor of Whopper candy, which were the Reese's Peanut Butter flavored Whoppers, and those were very delicious. So, I figured since the Hershey Company did a good job with the Reese's flavored Whoppers, so then they should also do a great job with the Strawberry Milkshake version of Whoppers.

Packaging

The Hershey Company has stuck to the original Whopper candy packaging, when it comes to the Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers. The candy comes in the original classic milk carton packaging. There are some changes when it comes to the color scheme; the Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers have used the colors pink, white, yellow, and red on their packaging. The color scheme is very appealing and attractive. This product comes in a variety of sizes, but the one that I purchased came in a 3.5 ounce carton. It is the perfect size for a snack, or a candy to eat while you are on the run.

Size and Shape

The size of the Strawberry Milkshake Whopper has remained the same as the original Whopper candy. The sizes of all of the Whoppers are similar to that of a marble. They are small enough to fit many in your mouth at once, making them very easy to eat, especially if you are on the go. However, the color of the Strawberry Milkshake Whopper is a light pink color; this is a nice change from the dull brown color associated with the original Whopper candy.

Taste

This product, the Strawberry Milkshake Whopper, has a very strong strawberry taste; the coating of this particular Whopper is almost like a strawberry yogurt covering. I do have to say that this product tastes more like strawberry yogurt than a strawberry milkshake. The taste is not horrible, but at the same time it is not incredible. In my opinion, they are good and/or just average. I would definitely not recommend this candy to anyone that does not like the taste of strawberries.

Price

The price for the 3.5 ounce package of Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers that I picked up at the store was .98 cents. I have seen them at another store for $1.09, which leads me to believe that the average price for the small package is around one dollar. Bigger sizes can be purchased for around 2 dollar at grocery and retail stores. The prices for this specific candy are the same prices for the original, classic Whoppers and the same average price for candy in general.

If you are someone who loves the taste of strawberries, and the taste of Whoppers, I definitely recommend that you purchase this product. So, next time you are at your local grocery store and you notice a bright pink milk carton at the checkout and/or in the candy aisle, you should pick up a package of the Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers; purchase them and take them home and see for yourself if you like this particular flavor of the Whopper candy.
