Your Guests Will Never Forget

If you love strawberries and are looking for a unique beverage idea for an upcoming special occasion, keep reading! This is the recipe for you!

I have served these delicious "Strawberry Shooters", as I call them, at many of my events and special nights with my love. I have always had great reviews about them. Many of my guests threaten not to leave without getting the recipe first.

The procedure is simple. You will need the following:

*Fresh Large Strawberries (amount is according to how many guests you are serving) One Strawberry=Strawberry Shooter
*Cream Liquor Strawberry or Chocolate Flavored (Tequila Rose or Mudslide works best)
*Spray Whip Cream
*Small Spoon or Melon Baller
*Small Knife
*Cupcake pan or Partitioned Container and paper cupcake cups

Step 1.
Rinse your strawberries

Step 2.
Select the largest strawberries possible and cut off the top portion. Remove only a small portion near the top, just enough to take off the leafs and a thin layer of fruit beneath it. You want the top of the berry to be flat afterward.
Discard the removed tops.

Step 3.
Use your spoon or melon baller to hollow out the core of the berries. Do not get to close to the edges. This is to ensure that the walls of the strawberry do not collapse. The berry is being hollowed to hold the liquor so keep a little bit of thickness to prevent messes. Each berry is different so scoop at your own risk! You should at least be able to fit the width of a finger into your hollowed center.

Step 4.
Now that your berries are hollowed in the center, they are ready to be filled. Line your cupcake tray or container of choice with paper cupcake cups. Place the strawberries in your container standing upright as though they were already full of liquid. Make sure they don't tip over. If they are not big enough to fill the area and stand upright, try stuffing extra paper around them to hold them in position.

Step 5.
Fill each strawberry with your cream liquor of choice. Fill to just beneath the brim.
Place in refrigerator to chill.

Step 6.
When you are ready to serve, remove your filled strawberries from the fridge. Top each strawberry with a spray of whip cream. Don't over-do it! Just a dab will do to create an eye appealing lid.

Step 7.
Add a little garnishing. Sprinkle a small pinch of cocoa powder or cinnamon onto the whip cream dab. You could also use the remnants of the strawberry centers you removed earlier. Create strawberry shavings with these remnants and sprinkle over the top for a finishing touch.

Step 8.
Now you are ready to serve!

*Note: You can display them in whatever dish you like after you fill them. I use the cupcake tray in case there are any spills during filling and transfer to a smaller partitioned dish afterward. Just be careful when you transfer! They will spill easily!

This is a wonderful beverage idea! An edible cup! No mess to clean up! I hope you enjoy!
