I have a couple of wonderful "Strawberry" recipes that I wanted to share with all of my AC friends. I got these recipes from a friend years ago, changed a little of the details for my own taste preference.

Strawberry Pizza

Ingredients

1/2 cup white sugar
2 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1 (2 ounce) package strawberry Danish dessert mix
1 cup water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted (not margarine)
1- (8 ounce) package cream cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

In a bowl, mix together flour and confectioners sugar. Stir in the melted butter. Press mixture down evenly into a 12 inch pizza pan

Bake in oven for 15 minutes.

(while the crust is cooling)

In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and white sugar until smooth. Spread over cooked crust. Arrange strawberries over cream cheese layer.

In a small saucepan. Combine custard mix and water. Bring to a boil while stiring frequently. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Pour mixture over strawberry layer.

Chill in fridge for at least 1 hour.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients

12 large, fresh strawberries
1 (12 oz.) bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Wash the strawberries then let them totally dry.

In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips over "low" heat. Keep stirring because it will stick if you leave it unattended

When the chocolate is almost melted, take off the burner, but keep stiring until totally melted

Dip each strawberry into the melted strawberry, placing the strawberries on a "covered" tray, in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes

Simple Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 c. pureed or mashed strawberries
1 can sweetened condensed milk (no exceptions)
2 c. Whipping Cream

In a bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Stir in the strawberries. Fold in the whipping cream.

Pour into a 2 quart container. Cover and Freeze for at least 5 1/2 hrs or until the ice cream is firm.
