Stray Dolphins

On Feb. 9 2009, 300 melon headed dolphins is in the shore of Bataan Philippines, local villagers was so shocked they saw a bunch of dolphins, although they are use of seeing some dolphins in their shore but 300 is just so shocking. Bataan is in between South China Sea and Manila Bay, that's why there is a possibility that some marine species got stranded in the coastline. Also they found 2 dead melon headed dolphins included a pregnant one and a young weak dolphin who is until now is being treated.

Its a good scene to watch but its a dangerous situation for the dolphins because if they stay long in a shallow part of the sea they will get weak plus the hazards of staying in the shore. That's why fishermen, local villagers and government officials asked assistance from Philippine Coast Guard to help them guide the dolphins in the deeper part of the sea. With their boats they helped the mammals to swim their way in the deep part of the sea, After a few hours of helping, all the dolphins that have been stranded are being guided in the sea.

With this phenomenon some expert said that there is a big reason for this, maybe a heat wave or an underwater disturbances occurred that cause some abnormal reaction from the dolphins.
