Streetview Zombie Apocalypse: Kill Zombies in Your Neighborhood
Could You Survive the Zombie Apocalypse?
This neat little game uses the Google Maps "streetview" functionality to create a character for you. It will then create zombie characters in your surrounding neighborhood which will come towards your marker on the map. You have to escape the zombies by using the arrow keys or the mouse to move down different streets of your neighborhood.
Be careful because if the zombies catch you, they eat you and well... that's just no fun. You can track your stats with an "average time alive" score and spend time better spent working trying to beat your previous score. You'll find after the first time you play that it's very addicting. You'll want to come back again and again and even challenge your friends to beat your times.
While the graphics are a little rough, the concept is great and it's an entertaining way to take a break in your day. You can explore more by using different starting points to see how it will affect your survival rate. For example, enter your work address and then your home address next. Try beating the zombies from your best friends' house or from the gym you frequent after work.
There is even a social element to it as you can battle against your friends' best times or try to outlast one another from the same starting location. I can totally see Facebook addicts getting into this game.
"Streetview Zombie Apocalypse" is the perfect little time-waster for the zombie buff in your life as well. They'll get a big kick out of watching the pixilated zombies spawn in their own neighborhood as they fight their way through the streets to avoid being eaten. It's great for fun and laughs and it's not overly complicated or gory.
