There are very few people out there who are not feeling stressed. Let's face it stress has become part of every day life for most of us. This killer is top ten on the list if not number one!

You may very well ask how will stress kill me? In reply to that, let's look at what it does to the mind and body. Then some one is "stressed out," people react in different ways and has a chain effect.

Most of us drive a car to work and have to deal with the stress on the road. By the time we get to work we are stressed and not in a very good mood. Others who we work with have to deal with this and may also get "stress out." Then it's time to go home and we are back on the road. The average person has to deal with stress at that lease once a day. Stress is a normal part of life.

First let's talk about your heart. Left unmanaged, stress can physical problems, including heart disease, high blood pressure, chest pains, or irregular heart beats. Again there is a chain effect. For example, if you are under stress, your blood pressure goes up, you might overeat, exercise less, and if you smoke, you may be more likely to smoke.

Then there are the mental and emotional effects of stress. Again when some people get emotional they like to eat. Most of them will eat junk food. Some people go to anxiety or anger fits. Others get overwhelmed and have the feeling of being useless.

About the lifestyle changes. They became imbalanced. Because they are obsessing what is stressing them, they do not sleep well, poor nutrition, get burnout and more. Worry takes over and that is all they want to think about.

So what can you do that is cost free?

1) You can cut down on your driving. Try walking to places if they are close by.

2) If you can, play some music at work.

3) Make a point to tell or read a joke a day.

4) Give somebody a hug.

5) Brown bag your lunch and go to a park.

6) Read a good book before bed

7) Take up a hobby

8) On you day off, do some running.

9) House cleaning

I am sure you can think of more things on your own but remember, stress feeds on worry. Most people worry about things that might happen. By the time what they are worried about what comes down, it ends up not being as bad as they were worried about. They stress themselves out about nothing.
