Today, stress is the leading cause of disease and can lead to death. What can you do about it?
Living to the hilt, with no room for error or even some much needed R&R can lead to burn out, disease, and misery. Take time for yourself and pamper yourself a little to get the most out of life.
You don't need to spend a lot to rest, simply take a nap, meditate, exercise, make love to your significant other, or enjoy an all natural, homeade aromatherapy lotion, or massage or bath soak. Exercise is the best stress relief. It can help you lose weight, increase your libido, and relaese feel good chemicals like Endorphin. I recommend you check to see if you have a thyroid condition before starting an exercise regime, and make sure you are healthy enough. Walking, biking, working out at the gym are all good stress busters. Take time to enjoy nature, and let the Universe bring to you your destiny. Just because you encounter hardships, doesn't mean you should be bitter and angry. Jesus was crucified when he was innocent and he said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing." And forgave.
Get enough nutrients by eating delicious, nutritious foods, like salads with olive oil and vinegar dressing, whole wheat, lean proteins, stir fry, vegetables, etc. Avoid anything you are allergic to. Some things like pollens or dust are impossible to eliminate, but avoiding sugar and trans fats is important. Antioxidants are essential to health too.
Too little sleep and too much stress lead to weight gain. Having stress can lead to thyroid disease, heart disease, cancer, and fibromyalgia. Women are dying at a faster rate due to high stress careers usually associated with men. Mental illness often starts with symptoms of insommnia and continue on to more debilitating symptoms. Practicing meditation and prayer, and being positive can help alleviate symptoms of mental illness. Stress can make symptoms worse.
Making love to someone that is special to you makes you feel good and can help relieve stress. People in loving monogomous relationships are healthier even than singles and most celibate people. Although spirituality can help.
Faith can do wonders for your health, if you pray and expect good things and think about what you want. You know you will encounter problems, but faith can bring you through because it gives you hope. Taking a leap of faith and believeing in God can help you be thinner, happier, and healthier.
Meditation or prayer can help relieve stress too and help you rejuvinate your mind. All in all, stress isn't cured in one day, but taking time to pamper yourself with home remedies and doing the other things listed can go a long way to helping you get your health back. Also, remember to breathe deep throughout the day. It can reduce belly fat caused by stress.
