Streaming media extenders are some of the best inventions ever created. They open an entire world of digital content in such a stunning way. If it is on the internet and can be downloaded, then we can now watch it on our large screen televisions. Instead of remaining cramped in front of a computer screen, we are now able to spread out to other locations in our homes or offices without a sacrifice. Despite the advantages of getting downloaded computer video to your television set wirelessly, Sansa decided to simplify it just a little bit.

With the Sansa TakeTV, you will receive a usb drive that will conveniently plug into a dock connected to your television. In order to start enjoying your favorite downloaded videos, just drag and drop your desired files to the drive. Nothing could be simpler than that. Most consumers love working with electronic devices with an easy setup. Although this device does not have a ton of storage space, it is still a handy little tool to have around. Its inexpensive price and convenience makes it a great buy. It provides a simple and cheap way to quickly get your video content from your computer to your television in a snap.

The Sansa TakeTV's small and compact design will definitely not take up much space on your desktop. Included in the package is a power adapter for the dock station and an audio/video cable for superb sound quality. The remote control has a unique little shape that works extremely well. The large play button takes up most of the room on the remote control. There are also smaller buttons that control menu navigation, video information, viewing mode, and power. It is simple to operate and fells comfortable in your hands. Most gadget hounds will appreciate the compact design of the remote control because it is free from bulkiness.

Another useful aspect of the Sansa TakeTV is that it can smoothly play Xvid, DivX, and MP4 files with ease. It can also handle Windows XP and Windows Vista computer systems. However, there does not seem to be any compatibility for Mac computers yet. You will not have to fret over loading the setup drives onto your computer system because it is a breeze to complete. If you have music or photos on your computer system, this device is not meant for them. You will not be able to drag and drop those sort of files onto it. It is strictly meant for video playback only.

In order to get video content onto your Sansa TakeTV, you will have to visit Fanfare.com. Navigating through this video content site is also very easy to do. Just create a username with a password to get started. After doing this, every time you plug in your device, the Fanfare.com will automatically launch at startup. Right now, the selection of videos will be very limited, but their have been hints about it expanding soon because it is still in beta. You will have access to some of your favorite television shows from CBS, Showtime, and the Weather Channel. As the collection of videos grow, popular premium shows will be offered at a low cost.

Sansa TakeTV is one of the easiest ways to grab some of the video content located on your computer and comfortably watch it on your television. Not having wireless streaming capability will provide an excellent solution for anyone that does not like networking. Although this is become the standard with many electronic entertainment devices, there are still a few consumers that would rather stay away from that type of technology. The Sansa TakeTV is offered at a wonderfully low price and has nice features. Purchasing it for yourself or a gadget guru will be smart idea.
